Parker Jones Audio Engineer | Technician

ABOUT

Since he was young, Parker has been inspired by music and has loved every aspect of it including writing, recording, and performing. From his early teenage years, Parker created music and played in bands with friends. Parker has been professionally engineering various audio projects since 2010 when he began engineering sessions and shows for local bands in Phoenix, AZ. This experience lead him to engineer his high schools events where he gained further knowledge of live sound.

In late 2014, Parker attended The Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences (CRAS) in Gilbert, AZ where he expanded his knowledge of audio in many areas including post production, game audio, broadcast audio, and surround sound formats. During this time, he worked along side audio engineer Keith Morris on events around the greater Phoenix area. While working these events, Parker became proficient not only in audio but in lighting, rigging, and video as well.

Once graduated from CRAS in July of 2015, Parker moved to Los Angeles, CA where he landed a job at the legendary Westlake Recording Studios. At Westlake, Parker gained invaluable experience working with some of the worlds most talented artists and engineers. Near the end of 2017, Parker decided that it was time to take on more independent work and left Westlake Recording Studios. During this time, Parker focused on writing music as well as engineering sessions. Whenever he was not in session, he was teaching himself more about the technical side of the audio, specifically troubleshooting and repairing audio equipment. After several months of freelance work, Parker joined the elite team of technicians at The Desk Doctor lead by Bruce Millett. With The Desk Doctor, he gained further knowledge of large format recording consoles, outboard gear, and recording studio construction.

Just short of two years later, Parker decided that he wanted to expand his knowledge of electronics by going back to school for electrical engineering. With this decision came the opportunity to move back to Phoenix and begin school closer to his family, which he took and returned to Phoenix in October of 2019. On top of all of the studio work, Parker started engineering live sound events again in the Phoenix area such as concerts and sporting events. Today, Parker continues to work in world class recording facilities around the country engineering sessions, maintaining studios, and implementing effective audio solutions for his clients.
